Green intelligent manufacturing empowers global residential upgrading, Chinese solutions accelerate global expansion

With the continuous growth of global demand for green buildings, low-carbon development, and residential industrialization, China’s prefabricated housing industry is ushering in a new round of international development opportunities. Since 2026, national and local governments have introduced a series of policies supporting prefabricated buildings, new building industrialization, and green low-carbon construction, injecting strong momentum into the overseas expansion of China’s prefabricated housing enterprises.
In accordance with the development direction outlined in the “Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People’s Republic of China (2026–2030),” China will further promote the large-scale development of ultra-low energy consumption buildings and prefabricated buildings, accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of the construction industry, and continuously enhance the industrialization, digitalization, and intelligence levels of construction. Meanwhile, multiple provinces and cities across the country have introduced supporting policies, comprehensively advancing the high-quality development of prefabricated buildings from standard system construction, quality management, industrial support to intelligent construction applications.
In the construction of residential communities, cultural tourism and holiday camps, engineering camps and staff dormitories, schools, hospitals, and other public facilities, China’s prefabricated housing demonstrates vast application potential. Meanwhile, leveraging the advantages of a mature industrial chain, China has established a comprehensive industrial system covering design and R&D, intelligent manufacturing, quality inspection, international logistics, overseas installation, and after-sales services. For countries advancing urbanization and those with high labor costs, China’s prefabricated housing is becoming an increasingly attractive solution.
